Students from rural Victoria represent about 30% of the state’s student population, but far less attend university. The University of Melbourne wanted to let these students know, that studying at Australia’s best university, was within their reach.

We found a way to Help them to see through their fears by introducing them to other students who had already left rural towns, to study medicine at Melbourne.

We posed a simple challenge to future students;
'Discover what you're made of'.


We recruited 5 young medical students, who had overcome the challenge of leaving their homes in the country, to study. We then transformed them with body paint to show all the systems of the body which served as a conduit to let them tell their personal stories and encourage future students.
